Friday September 6th

Chicago White Sox vs Los Angeles Angels – First pitch is 7:10pm.  The promotion is Hispanic Heritage Night and Post Game Fireworks.

The Cotton Seed Creative Exchange Grand Opening – Starts at 5:00pm.  Located on Broadway! The store features a mixture of home decor, handmade items, DIY products, painted furniture, gift items, and more. Owner Yvonne Thompson is working with a variety of creative partners and vendors and said the store will offer a fun, unique shopping experience.

First Fridays Aurora – From 5:00pm – 12:00pm.  First Fridays is a night of art, fun, music, dance, and community at local businesses and venues in downtown Aurora on the first Friday evening of the month. First Fridays in Downtown Aurora invites the community to enjoy art, music, food, theater, and more on the first Friday of the month.

Saturday September 7th

Chicago White Sox vs Los Angeles Angels – First pitch is 6:10pm.  The promotion is White Sox Replica Home Run Chain.

Tails on the Trails – From 10:00am – 4:00pm.  Come out and Enjoy a “paw”fect day out with your pup, meandering down the Arboretum’s 16 miles of hiking trails. You can also shop from local businesses and organizations in the pet expo, watch special demonstrations, and meet dogs available for adoption and inquire about volunteering with local pet shelters. Sign your pooch up for some doggy games, including the crowd-favorite peanut butter licking contest!

3rd Annual Jerk, Seafood, & Vegan Festival – From Saturday September 7th – Sunday September 8th.  JSVFest celebrates the taste of Jamaica’s most popular cuisine, Jerk Chicken, Fish, Pork and everything Jerk. Also, Seafood with an international twist; plus Vegan, Vegetable Barbeques and other bites for both the meat and non meat eaters. Desserts will be a part of the celebration.

Chicago River Revival Festival – From 9:00am – 5:00pm.  In honor of Friends’ 40th Anniversary, please join us for the Chicago River Revival Festival and the Third Annual Big Jump!

FEAST Festival – From 1:00pm – 7:00pm.  The festival aims to foster a sense of community and engagement through the arts, and will give artists and musicians a platform to perform for a good cause. It will include a main performance stage, a DJ stage, a fashion show, vendors, art activations, and of course, food! Partners include the School of the Art Institute in Homan Square, Red Bull, and Imperfect Produce.

3rd Annual Chicago Oyster Fest – From 1:00pm – 4:00pm.  3 hours of Oysters. Beer & Music. At Frontier Chicago.

Sunday September 8th

Chicago White Sox vs Los Angeles Angels – First pitch is 1:10pm.  The promotion is Coca-Cola Family Sunday.

Friends of Steph Block Party – From 12:00pm – 6:00pm.  Please join us as we honor the memories of Steph and Kevin, enjoy Brats and Live music among friends!

2nd Annual Aurora Pooch Parade – From 1:00pm – 3:00pm.  Registration is open for the 2nd Annual Aurora Pooch Parade, which will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 8 at Phillips Park, 1000 Ray Moses Drive.

Ethiopia Fest Chicago 2019 – From 2:00pm – 9:00pm.  Whether you are Ethiopian, enjoy the traditions or just want to explore, Ethiopia Fest Chicago is the best way to immerse yourself in Ethiopian culture! Try authentic Ethiopian cuisine from local restaurants, enjoy live music & dancing, checkout the diverse merchandise options from dynamic vendors, and learn the depths of Ethiopian culture within the heart of Chicago.

22nd Annual Ferrari Fest – From 11:00am – 2:00pm.  Now in its 22nd year, Italian Village has partnered with The Ferrari Club of America for this summertime finale for a cause. The 91-year-old restaurant will dish out its authentic Italian fare, Italian wines, beer, espressos and cappuccinos as guests bask in the luxurious sports cars and family-friendly activities, all while raising money for two incredible causes. The outdoor portion of the event is free, and guests over six years old have the option to donate $30 for an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Monday September 9th

BUGHOUSE!  Chicago #29 – From 7:00pm – 10:00pm.  Literate Ape presents BUGHOUSE!, a 75-minute show designed to interrogate concepts, proselytize truth, and dissect popular thought through a lens of skeptical artistry. Three bouts, six warriors, three decisions. BUGHOUSE! aims to definitively answer the most (and least) important questions of the day.  These questions will be explored, debated and answered by a singular deciding judge (randomly selected from the audience) and soapboxed by some of Chicago’s finest writers, stand up comics, musicians, and poets.

Tuesday September 10th

Chicago White Sox vs Kansas City Royals – First pitch is 7:10pm.  The promotion is Dog Day.

Tomato Throw Show – From 8:00pm – 9:30pm.  All audience members will be given fake tomatoes to throw at comedians. Whichever comedian gets the least thrown at them wins!

Wednesday September 11th

Chicago White Sox vs Kansas City Royals – First pitch is 7:10pm.  The promotion is $1 Hot Dog Wednesday.

9/11 National Service Day – Chicago Meal Pack – Starts at 2:00pm.  Join us in partnership with Serve Illinois, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, to make 9/11 a day of service.  For the first-ever Chicago Meal Pack will take place with your help on 9/11 National Service Day.  More than 1,200 volunteers are expected to join together to pack 300,000 meals for Chicago-area people in need on Wednesday, September 11th at Union Station in the Great Hall.

Thursday September 12th

Chicago White Sox vs Kansas City Royals – First pitch is 1:10pm.  The promotion is Free T-Shirt Thursday.
