There’s good news if you’re a homeowner in the Chicago-land area, home values are on the rise! This article was originally written by MGGroupChicago and you can view their blog here.

Crain’s Chicago Business says that the home values in Chicago are on the rise. Crain’s cites the numbers from S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Indices, one of the most respected monthly studies of the country’s housing market.

The latest reports says Chicago area homes rose 5.1 percent in March! That’s a significant increase and is uplifting news for anyone trying to sell a home on the market.

This also marks the third straight month of value gains. The two previous months had an even higher value increase.

Although this is great news, Chicago is still lagging behind other states in the country. Other states in the country averaged a 5.8 increase through the month of March. Chicago area home values were just a bit off this pace.

Although Chicago is behind other states, you should still be pleased with these numbers if you are considering selling. As long as you set the right asking price and stage your home you shouldn’t have an issue finding a buyer.

Kurt has developed a unique system designed to turn renters into homeowners. Unlike most Realtors his initial focus is on the financial end of the transaction. This dynamic has allowed him to develop more buyers that were not previously in the market, which in turn leads to more listings being sold. While Kurt is constantly tweaking his programs to meet the needs of his clients, he is ever mindful that a home is not sold without a buyer. More times than not, a buyer that he turned into a homeowner.
